Shame on me! I’ve only just picked up on this interview. “Shame” because I’m an old friend of Marie and Dick, but always assume I don’t have to check the website since I keep in touch by other means; but here is Marie as I know her, full of enthusiasm and ‘can do’; and producing the best of books, ‘mine de rien’ to use a French expression. (Meaning ‘just like that!’, without apparent effort.) But I know what an effort it really is to turn out a book - especially one like this which is more about the visual than the verbal. While Marie takes a break from the sketching trips for 2009, take the opportunity to browse her book(s), in readyness for 2010. Highly recommended. And if there’s a workshop in SW France, I’ll be there. I’m here already!

Martha, a wonderful interview with Mari. She is a great workshop leader, artist, mentor and friend. I have been on two trips with Mari and am planning Mexico and another Pacific Northwest soon. Thanks for sharing Mari and her book with all of us.

Thank you for this blog entry; the interview was interesting to read; 5 years ago when my mother visited Brittany, she came back with a book of Mari Le Glatin-Keis: “Carnets de Bretagne”. She gave it to me and I love it; it is very beautiful and I can only recommend it.

I just bought and read the book in two sittings, I was so anxious to absorb it all. Thanks for the interview - I too would love to take a workshop with her. Maybe she would consider a Central Park and Museum workshop for locals in NYC!
