Claremont Hotel

Claremont Hotel (larger)

Recently I was at the venerable Claremont Hotel on the Berkeley/Oakland border for a meeting. It’s a grand old structure, mostly white, at the foot of the East Bay Hills.

I did make some pencil guidelines first on this one; that perspective was tricky!

You make it look even more magical than it is. I used to love to go to the spa there but stopped when I found out how poorly they treated their employees.

A lovely drawing! You really mastered the perspective and your use of color is beautiful!

This is really beautiful. I love how it spreads over two pages. There’s something very fun about that. 🙂

Very good drawing, yes a tricky thing that perspective. I like especially your use of color the greens and violets, quite nice, gentle color.

Wow! How beautiful watercolour. Fantastic drawing, then the use of the colours for the sadows and how you use the white for the light, just amazing. I love it.
